You said you might release a full how to later in the month but if you have any tips or how you got it working I'd love to hear. I just got the iPC 10.5.6 from a friend and if it works for you it should work for me so I'm very hopeful this will be it. Also, I'm running windows xp and ubuntu 8.10 on two different partitions.
